If you later switch phone answering on for a business line, calls to that number can be answered by an AI assistant and are transcribed — written down, not recorded as audio. Callers are told both things in the assistant's first words the first time they ring, get a short reminder that the call is transcribed on later ones, and are told plainly they are not talking to a person whenever they ask. What is kept, for how long, and who hears the call is in the Privacy Policy.
